PYE Wood Varnish

The PYE Wood Varnish is a clear, air-drying, polyurethane/alkyd resin-based formula designed to provide a tough, wear-resistant finish on all internal timber surfaces in a single can. It gives a satin covering with water resistance, wear, and tear.

Ideal For:

• Can be used for parquet, paneling, doors & furniture.
• Suitable for interior particleboard, cork tiles, etc.

Surface Preparation:

Clean the wood surface with turpentine to remove grease, etc. Fill nail holes or defects with PYE Wood Filler. Sand to a smooth finish and remove dust.

Application:

Stir thoroughly before application. PYE Wood Varnish is a ready-to-use product. If, however, thinning is required, add 10-15% white spirit. Sand lightly between coats.

Allow 4-6 hours drying time between each coat. A minimum of 2 coats is required, but 3 coats are recommended for the best results. Light walking traffic is permissible after 12 hours. Drying time may vary depending on the humidity of the air.

For Brush or roller application - use directly or thin with 10% white spirit. 

For Conventional Air Spray - thin with 10-15% white spirit.
